The Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service strives to provide a quality service aiming to keep staff and officers both physically and psychologically well at work. To achieve this the multidisciplinary team work collaboratively with the individual, management, HR, Health and Safety and, where appropriate primary health care professionals e.g. GPs and Specialists in order to address and help prevent health issues arising in the workplace, preserve good health, monitor the effectiveness of safe working practices and promote wellbeing.

Research shows that good health is good for the organisation, with better workplaces having higher morale and better productivity.

The Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service offers a range of interventions depending upon the individuals need. We also work with an Occupational Health Provider who provide our Force Medical Advisor, Physio support and Vaccinations.

You will play a key part in supporting us to keep our officers and staff physically and psychologically well at work by delivering administrative services such as:

  • Being the first point of contact and providing guidance on administrative processes
  • Answering telephone calls and responding to email queries
  • Maintaining systems and records
  • Booking clinic days and appointments
  • Collating information for the Occupational Health Team for them to be able to make assessments of our officers, staff and applicants to join Warwickshire Police
  • Liaising with medical professionals to obtain evidence
  • Other administrative duties such as maintaining the internal intranet pages, note taking at departmental meetings, receiving invoices and processing these for payment and retrieving management information from the systems used.

You will be trusted with medically sensitive information so medical confidentiality and being mindful of the vulnerability of our internal and external customers are of the utmost importance within this role.
